5 Must-Reads For Aspiring Copywriters
Want to learn copywriting?
It’s not as simple as most think.
Because most think copywriting is writing stories.
Most think copywriting is being exceptionally creative.
Most think copywriting is growing a social media following.
And I WISH that’s what it was.
But it’s not.
Copywriting is about 3 things.
Generating sales.
Generating views.
Generating action.
Make people act to get views or sales. That pretty much sums it up.
So, I wanted to give you 5 books that will teach you the basics and then some to become a master copywriter:
Hook Point.
Not sure how to write a good hook?
This is the most IN DEPTH book I’ve ever read on the subject.
It tells you what makes a good hook, how you can use it, and history/psychology behind why hooks work.
And remember: if people don’t like the hook, nothing else will matter.
The YT Formula.
Now… I know what you’re thinking.
It’s YouTube, not copywriting.
And let me tell you.
That’s true.
But, believe it or not, this book was the key to my foundational knowledge of copywriting.
Yes, it’s about YouTube, but it all applies to copywriting as well.
Trust me. Give it a read.
Save The Cat.
A good story makes people act.
A good story makes people buy.
A good story makes people remember.
Save The Cat, is goated for teaching storytelling.
It goes super in depth, gives a script you can use, and lays the foundation for why things work, how, and what works.
Warning: there are some things I disagree with in this book. But take the things that matter from it and delete the rest from your brain.
Copywriting Secrets.
I’ll admit… I haven’t read this one.
It’s on my list, and I really want to, but need to finish the other 50 on my list first.
Anyway, I’ve heard a LOT of good things about this book.
I highly suggest you give it a read. And I will too!
The Art and Business of Online Writing.
I’m reading this book right now, and I’m almost finished.
It is an absolute masterpiece so far.
It’s taught me a TON that I haven’t found online.
Genuinely, I highly recommend you read it.
It goes over what people like to read, why people like to read specific things, tons and TONS of examples, and what you can do to persuade readers.

And that’s all for the list!
I hope you enjoy these books!
But just remember… the only way to really LEARN copywriting, is to practice everything you read.
Use what you learn in posts, emails, school essays, texts, anything and everything.
Alright that’s it for today!
Byeeee
